The battle for next generation dominance was over as soon as SNE decided to play along. With the company changing directions for the better -- look for all of the branches (media/box office, video & sound hardware, computing) of the company to become unified to re-form the world's electronics giant. Nintendo is not worried, because it's a non-factor (hell it's not even next-gen!!). This is what MS feared. They've awakened a sleeping giant. This battle will not last long if SNE flexes ...

I don't even see why they spend so much money on the advertising anyway. Quite honestly ((besides the shadow commercial)) all the commercials suck. THey should just pour that money back into production and shipping. Hell, the whole world wants the CellStation, but they can't make it fast enough to sell it. SNE should at least be confident enough to know that hordes (if not all) of existing P2 fans are gonna go try to grab the P3. That revenue alone will keep things even keel for a while....
